On December 16th at 2:00 I helped deliver our second child into this world and when I announced, "it's a Boy!" it became official: he is a boy (It's kind of like declaring bankruptcy, you simply have to announce your bankruptcy loudly and in the presence of two or more individuals). We named him Nikko Oscar Wray. Oscar is Heidi's Grandpa's name. Nikko (Nee Co) means sunshine or daylight in Japanese and victory of the people in greek. We realize it is sort of a strange name, but the more we thought about it the more we liked it. It sure is fun to say. Go ahead, try it, NEE-KO, Nikko.
Nikko was born 6 lbs 8 oz and 18 inches long. That makes him 2.5 lbs lighter than Logan and 4 inches shorter. Needless to say, Heidi's discomfort and recovery has been much better this time around. She only had to push three times.
I say I helped deliver Nikko because I scrubbed in, helped expose the head, grabbed the head and neck when it was fully out, pulled down gently to release the top shoulder, pulled up to release the bottom shoulder and in a rush of fluid Nikko slid onto the bed. I then picked him up and placed him directly on Heidi. It was an incredible experience.
Also, here is what Logan is growing up into:

Congrats again, Adam. We were so glad it worked out for us to come by and see Nikko and the rest of you. He's a dang cutie!
I'd like to second that. Yay, babies! We need to find some time to hang out over the next couple weeks. When are you free? I -- and I'm sure Jessica, too -- would like to come by and see the new Wray of Sunshine (you see what I did there?)!
